Christmas Science Saturday: Snowball Catapults
Children learn real science with their own hands, in two languages. Every experiment at Christmas Science Saturday is explained in both English and French by an instructor from Junior Einsteins Science Club.
.Snowball Catapults runs on Saturday 5 December 2026 from 4:30pm to 5:20pm at The Office Charlotte, 29 Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, L-1331 Luxembourg. It is open to children aged 5 to 11 and costs 30 euros per child, paid when booking.
The session shows how a stretched rubber band stores energy. Each child builds a working catapult and tests different launch angles to find which sends a snowball, a soft white pom-pom, the furthest. Then comes the tower target challenge. Each child takes home their catapult and a Junior Einsteins sticker.
Two other sessions run the same afternoon and are booked separately. Christmas Crystals and Snowballs starts at 2:30pm and Light Up Christmas starts at 3:30pm.
Parents drop off and collect their children and do not need to stay. A lab coat and safety goggles are provided. Places are limited. Questions can go to [email protected] or +352 621 888 799.
