A vibrant journey through Bulgarian folklore, jazz and the rhythms of the Balkans!
.GloBalKan brings together some of Bulgaria's finest musicians in a unique fusion of traditional Bulgarian folklore, jazz, pop, Latin and classical influences.
Founded in 2017 by internationally acclaimed kaval player Nedyalko Nedyalkov, the band also features Petar Milanov on guitar, Stoyan Yankoulov on drums and Vladimir Karparov on saxophone. Together, they combine the distinctive irregular rhythms of the Balkans – including 7/8 and 11/8 metres – with jazz harmony and improvisation, creating a vibrant and unmistakable sound.
Their 2019 album Wonder Wheel perfectly captures this musical journey across the Balkans.
