Disruptions
The photography exhibition Disruptions, on display in the Cloître Lucien Wercollier, offers a compelling visual meditation on the central theme of this year’s festival, exploring the profound upheavals that are reshaping our societies today. The exhibition places particular emphasis on the disruptions within our societies driven by rapid technological changes. Some of these developments appear to undermine our societal foundations while others offer hope – both raising the question of whether they still remain within our control. A majority of the works selected by the curator Marta Szymańska originate from, or focus on, Central and Eastern Europe, and illustrate a diverse range of perspectives, from intimate human experiences to broader societal shifts.
