How far can you stretch the truth in the name of self-optimisation? When does charisma, boldness, and self-promotion cross the line into fraud? This play sets out to find the answer. It follows two young women trying to become CEOs—one following the rules, the other rewriting them. For years, women have been flooded with advice on how to succeed in a male-dominated world, from books like Lean In, Girlboss., and Good Girls Don’t Get the Corner Office. At the same time, stories of female con artists like Elizabeth Holmes and Anna Delvey have captivated the public imagination. Inspired by these contradictions, this play explores the overlap between feminism and fraud—with a dose of humour.
Jusqu’où peut-on tordre la vérité au nom de l’ambition et de l’optimisation de soi ? Cette pièce suit deux jeunes femmes qui rêvent de devenir PDG : l’une suit les règles, l’autre flirte avec l’arnaque. Inspirée par les conseils contradictoires des livres de développement personnel et par les histoires vraies de femmes fraudeuses comme Elizabeth Holmes et Anna Delvey, le spectacle, créé par Solvei Sundbø et Anne Klein, explore les frontières floues entre féminisme et fraude. .
