Yes, public transport is entirely free in Luxembourg City. Since 1 March 2020, buses, trams and trains have been accessible without a ticket across the entire country, whether you're a resident, cross-border commuter or visitor. This applies to every form of public transport, at any time of day.

Luxembourg International Airport (Findel) is located just 6 km from the city centre, around 15 minutes away by taxi, bus or tram. Public transport in Luxembourg is free of charge, making both bus and tram convenient and cost-free ways to reach the city centre and main districts. Luxembourg City is also easily accessible from the neighbouring airports of Brussels, Charleroi, Frankfurt and Paris via regular and well-connected rail and bus services.

Luxembourg City offers a wide choice of covered car parks in the city centre, along with Park & Ride (P+R) facilities on the outskirts, most of which are free of charge. A real-time dynamic guidance system displays how many spaces are available in each car park. From any P+R, you can travel into the city centre free of charge by public transport.
