Voices, Sounds and Images for Peace

What if, in the face of a fractured world, art were one of the few spaces where we can still find one another?

This is the premise of “Voices, Sounds, and Images for Peace,” an evening where music, visual arts, and poetry meet to celebrate dialogue, fraternity, and solidarity.

On 6 December 2026 at the Salle Robert Krieps at Neimënster, original compositions by Francesco Iannitti Piromallo will serve as the connecting thread of this artistic journey, inviting audiences into an immersive experience where these various disciplines engage in a dialogue marked by emotion and sensitivity.

Duo Fantasie, featuring Jana Theresa Hildebrandt (flute) and Monica Jimenez Calvo (piano), will perform a programme that presents music as a universal language of hope and connection.

Through the warm timbre of the euphonium and the subtlety of the piano, Thomas Cremmer and Benjamin Page (euphonium), accompanied by Olga Volkova (piano), will unveil a richly nuanced soundscape featuring works by Peter Graham, Marco Pütz, and Eric Whitacre.

Visual artists Serge Koch, Günseli Toker, and Stella Radicati will present three original creations conceived specifically for “Voices, Sounds, and Images for Peace,” in dialogue with the musical works. The reading of two poems, which inspired two of the musical compositions, will further enrich the dialogue between words, sounds, and images.

Under the direction of Isabelle Braun-Dominicy, the Youth Choir of the Conservatoire de Musique d’Esch-sur-Alzette will lend its voice to this celebration of dialogue, fraternity, and solidarity, reflecting the commitment of a new generation to a more open and equitable society.

Part of the concert proceeds will be donated to JRS (Jesuit Refugee Service) Luxembourg to support its work with refugees and displaced persons through accompaniment, service, and advocacy.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the International Kunstverein Luxembourg, and benefits from the patronage of the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville d’Esch-sur-Alzette, ARC Kënschtlerkrees, and the Società Dante Alighieri Luxembourg.
