A nasty business indeed… Mayor Mitchel doesn’t own a cat (a playful nod to the famous French nursery rhyme “La Mère Michel”), but his son Mike stands accused of murder. And although Mike may be clever as an ox, every piece of evidence points straight at him. Defended by the family’s notoriously crooked lawyer, can he survive the relentless attacks of Douglas and Carrie, two incorruptible detectives determined to bring him down? According to Chaos Theory, the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Sicily can trigger a storm in Kansas. The four protagonists are about to discover just how true that might be, as they find themselves trapped inside a delirious time loop where every choice, every mistake, and every coincidence sends reality spiralling further out of control. A darkly comic thriller blending absurdity, mystery, and temporal mayhem, where guilt, truth, and causality become impossible to untangle. Definitely the wrong day to quit coffee.
