[NA] & Eténèsh Wassié
The meeting between [NA] and Eténèsh Wassié takes place in a musical space built on listening, improvisation, and collective energy. Coming from the azmari tradition of Addis Ababa, Eténèsh Wassié brings a voice shaped by phrasing, ornamentation, and poetic expression, all rooted in a living connection to the present moment. With her, [NA] develops a direct and moving sound, influenced by improvised music practices, rhythmic repetition, and an intensity inspired by punk. The music grows in the flow of the moment: motifs, tensions, breaths, and shared dynamics unfold freely. From this encounter emerges an open and vibrant form, where vocal traditions, contemporary improvisation, and raw energy come together.
