Marlis Albrecht
Marlis Albrecht (*1956, Ludwigsburg, Germany) studied at the ‚Freie Kunstschule‘ in Stuttgart, Germany. Marlis Albrecht is a highly talented contemporary artist known for the unique technique of using beeswax on wood to create stunning landscapes with a remarkable sense of depth and texture. Albrecht's innovative approach involves applying layers of beeswax, which she then manipulates and shapes to achieve the desired effects, creating a sense of depth and luminosity that is both visually captivating and tactilely engaging. The use of beeswax truly represents a unique and innovative approach to landscape painting. Her work resonates with a sense of authenticity and emotional depth that invites the viewer to immerse themselves fully in the scene. Recently, the artist has shown her works in various European museums such as the Villa Hechingen, the last residency of the Dukes of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and at European Art Fairs. (Karlsruhe 2023, Luxembourg Art Week 2023).
