"Marcel et Monsieur Pagnol" - Premiere screening
At the height of his fame, Marcel Pagnol. is commissioned by the editor-in-chief of a major women’s magazine to write a literary serial, in which he is free to recount his childhood, his beloved Provence, his first loves…
As he pens the opening pages, the child he once was— little Marcel—suddenly appears before him. And so, memory awakens, word by word: the arrival of talking pictures, the creation of the first great film studio, his deep bond with actors, the discovery of writing.
The greatest storyteller of all time becomes the hero of his own tale.
.A film by Sylvain Chomet.
Screening followed by a Q&A with Sylvain Chomet, and Lilian Eche (producer)
