Promenade UNESCO and archaeological crypt of Saint Esprit
This UNESCO Promenade includes a visit to the archaeological crypt of the Saint-Esprit Citadel, offering an even deeper insight into the fortress city's rich history.
Discover the impressive remains of the former fortress city and the ancient quarters that were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list back in 1994. During this tour, you will learn more about Luxembourg’s important role in European history. Starting at the Place de la Constitution, the tour runs halfway up the fortifications, through Pétrusse Park to the Corniche ("the most beautiful balcony in Europe"), over the ramparts and ends in the old town.
This free tour is offered by the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Luxembourg City Tourist Office.
