Kleeschen on Tour

On Sunday 30 November, Saint Nicholas, accompanied by Servant Rupert and their angels, will tour the city to distribute his famous bags of sweets, known as ‘Titercher’, to children.

At 2:30 p.m., Kleeschen will arrive by tram at Luxembourg station and be welcomed by the city's political leaders. Musical accompaniment by the group Tramsmusek.

Then the procession with Kleeschen will set off for Place de Paris via Avenue de la Liberté. Musical accompaniment by Tramsmusek.


The procession will arrive at Place de Paris at around 2.45 p.m. for the distribution of the ‘Tiitercher’ by the Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten Georges Everling Gaasperech. Musical accompaniment by the Bouneweger Nuetigailercher.


At around 4 p.m., the procession will leave Place de Paris and head towards Ville-Haute. From around 4.20 p.m., accompanied by Tramsmusek and dancers from the Cathy Moes by Li Marteling dance school, the procession will pass through Rue Philippe II, Grand-Rue, Marché aux Herbes and Rue de la Reine, finally arriving at Place Guillaume II.


At 5 p.m., the Kleeschen procession will arrive at Place Guillaume II for another distribution of ‘Tiitercher’ until 6 p.m. Speech by the Mayor and launch of the song ‘Léiwe Kleeschen’ with the children's choir of the City Music Conservatory, who provide musical accompaniment during the distribution of ‘Tiitercher’ by the Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten Georges Everling Gaasperech.
