The Niklosmaart at Place de Paris is a delightful part of Luxembourg City’s festive season. Centrally located, the market features beautifully decorated wooden chalets serving both sweet and savoury treats — from mulled wine and hamburgers to Gromperekichelcher (potato pancakes), soups, sausages, waffles, churros and pretzels. Visitors will also find a wide range of Christmas merchandise, including handmade Advent wreaths, decorations, textiles and toys. A historic swing‑carousel is available for children and adults, and there is an extensive live music and entertainment programme on stage. 

As the name suggests, there is a Saint Nicholas with a sleigh for photos. A real “Kleeschen” welcomes children on the following days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, from 22.11. to 29.11, between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
