Farha, a Palestinian teenager whom her father hid in the cellar of their home during a 1948 attack by a Zionist military brigade on their village, helplessly witnesses a massacre of civilians. This first feature film by Palestinian-Jordanian director Darin Sallam is inspired by a true story to recount the Nakba, the violent expulsion of Palestinians from their homeland at the time of the creation of the State of Israel. On the occasion of Nakba Day – May 15.
