As he pens the opening pages, the child he once was— little Marcel—suddenly appears before him. And so, memory awakens, word by word: the arrival of talking pictures, the creation of the first great film studio, his deep bond with actors, the discovery of writing.
The greatest storyteller of all time becomes the hero of his own tale.
