FAI - Custodire la Bellezza

The conference is dedicated to celebrating 50 years of the FAI – the Italian Environment Fund..

Founded in 1975, FAI is committed to protecting, enhancing and promoting Italy’s cultural and landscape heritage. It does so through restoration projects, land conservation, civic education and the public opening of places of particular historical, artistic and natural significance.

FAI’s goal is to preserve Italy’s beauty and make it a shared, living and accessible treasure for everyone.

The presentation in Luxembourg aims to introduce the Foundation’s work and to share a vision of participatory conservation, as heritage preservation is not only the duty of institutions: it is a cultural and civic responsibility that involves each of us, wherever we are.

The event will feature Raffaele de Lutio, former Italian Ambassador to Luxembourg, founder and promoter of the Fondazione Cavour, and currently President of FAI Umbria, as guest speaker.

His diplomatic experience and active commitment to culture and heritage protection will offer a privileged insight into FAI’s mission, as well as the challenges and future perspectives of a beauty to be safeguarded and shared.

During the conference, the history of FAI, its main activities and current projects will be explored, with the aim of strengthening the link between the international community and Italian heritage, in a spirit of conscious and lasting participation.
