Description

From 13 to 15 June 2025, European Archaeology Days (EAD) invites the public to discover archaeology through more than 5,000 events organised in Luxembourg and 30 countries across Europe.

‘European Archaeology Days offer a wonderful opportunity to highlight the richness of Luxembourg's archaeological heritage,’ says Minister of Culture Eric Thill. "I am particularly pleased that the remarkable work of the INRA is being showcased in this way, in collaboration with all those involved in preserving and passing on our shared history. These days are an invitation to reconnect with our roots and better understand the foundations of our society."

European Archaeology Days are organised by INRA under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Council of Europe. In partnership with the main stakeholders, museums and volunteer associations active in the field of archaeology and heritage in Luxembourg, INRA is organising for the first time in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg three days of visits and open days across the country and at a multitude of sites and periods. Whether you are a history buff or simply curious, with your family or school class, come and discover the behind-the-scenes world of heritage and archaeological research.
