Pocket sculptures
Venue : Cercle Cité, Ratskeller exhibition space (rue du Curé)
A few folds, a little paper and some imagination: this workshop invites participants to discover how a simple sheet of paper can be transformed into a light and surprising sculpture. In connection with the themes explored in SHAPES – Beyond Geometry, it explores shapes, volumes and the transformations that emerge through gesture and experimentation.
Inspired by Bruno Munari’s Travel Sculptures and the art of origami, the workshop explores the creative possibilities of paper through the making of small folding sculptures. By experimenting with folding and cutting, participants will discover how a simple sheet can become a true pocket sculpture, to unfold, refold and carry with them wherever they go.
