Christmas Science Saturday: Light Up Christmas
Children learn real science with their own hands, in two languages. Every experiment at Christmas Science Saturday is explained in both English and French by an instructor from Junior Einsteins Science Club.
.Light Up Christmas runs on Saturday 5 December 2026 from 3:30pm to 4:20pm at The Office Charlotte, 29 Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, L-1331 Luxembourg. It is open to children aged 5 to 11 and costs 30 euros per child, paid when booking.
.The session explains how a battery works, with chemical energy turning into electrical energy. The children build a lemon light bulb, where a lemon powers an LED, and then a potato battery. They test lemon against potato to see which gives more power. Everyone takes home a Junior Einsteins sticker.
Two other sessions run the same afternoon and are booked separately. Christmas Crystals and Snowballs starts at 2:30pm and Snowball Catapults starts at 4:30pm.
Parents drop off and collect their children and do not need to stay. A lab coat and safety goggles are provided. Places are limited. Questions can go to [email protected] or +352 621 888 799.
