Spectacle Jardin Grow Together
Pachamama Family is a multilingual Hip Hop group based in Luxembourg and formed in 2018. The group is composed of eight members: Don Cee, Bah Dilla, Anto, L'as Le Dégeu, Fizé, Piloco, Don Gio and V.I.C. The collective was born following a musical project around the theme of respect for nature in collaboration with the NGO Frères des Hommes Luxembourg. Pachamama can be translated, in a simplified way, as "Mother Earth". In 2019, the Pachamama Family released its first EP called 'EPocalypse', consisting of five tracks.
This project addresses many pressing issues such as food waste, junk food ('Gimme More') and ocean and sea pollution ('Ocean') just to name a few. In parallel, the collective pays tribute to the Hip Hop culture and its various elements ('Elementz').
Pachamama Family has been able to create a bridge between the associative world of NGOs and the cultural scene in Luxembourg. For example, the music video for the song 'Gimme More' was made in partnership with SOS Faim Luxembourg. For their new project (LP) called 'Oneness', the collective collaborated with many artists and producers from Luxembourg, as well as with producers from outside the country.
For this album the group was able to explore different styles of music, which results in a more diverse and modern sound. Despite their different styles, the eight artists merge organically on the songs and convey positive, yet thought-provoking vibes and music. More recently, the collective released a single (accompanied by a music video) entitled ''Roots'', in collaboration with Primus Homemade Instruments, an upcycling Hip Hop project involving the creation of a guitar from a cigar box.
