On the occasion of this concert, the MelusinArt ensemble invites you to discover three Romantic works for clarinet, horn, and piano.
The three trios by the German composers Franz Lachner, Gustav Jenner, and Maximilian Heidrich share one thing in common: unfortunately, they are far too rarely performed. Yet these unjustly overlooked works contain musical treasures filled with rich original ideas, surprising compositional approaches, and highly expressive harmonies. Like their contemporaries Brahms, Wagner, and Schubert, these composers were highly prolific and left a significant mark on the musical life of their time, particularly in the cities of Hamburg, Munich, and Dresden.
We invite you to discover them on this journey through intense sonorities and unique timbres, where poetry, expression, and virtuosity come together.
