Joshua Idehen is a British-born Nigerian based in Sweden. A spoken word artist and musician, he has contributed poems to two albums shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, Channel The Spirits by London-based band The Comet Is Coming (2016) and Your Queen Is A Reptile by British jazz band Sons of Kemet (2018). In 2021 he worked with LA electronic maestro Daedelus on the critically acclaimed LP Holy Water Over Sons.

In March 2026, Idehen released I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try, providing listeners with a phenomenal sonic, poetic space. Made with his creative partner, musician Ludvig Parment, the album is an urgent but transcendent collection that holds you through it all, filled with grief and euphoria. In these bleak times that try to push us all further apart, it’s a beautiful, powerful manifesto for hope and collectivism.

Bewitching arrangements, warm low-pitched vocal samples, and rousing percussions are Napoleon Gold’s favourite tools when producing his ambient electronic tracks.
