This Sunday, it’s Robert Schumann’s turn to reveal the secrets of one of his works. A celebrated highlight of the Romantic repertoire, the Piano Quartet. came out of a period of intense productivity in Schumann’s career, as well as one of the happiest moments of his personal life. Happily married, a father for the first time and surrounded by a host of loyal friends and fellow artists, he was absolutely thriving in the 1840s!
