A sublime melodic dialogue between soprano voice and flute, accompanied by the guitar’s sometimes gentle, sometimes fiery sounds depending on the character of the music, invites the audience on a journey through some of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful songs — from nostalgic Sephardic melodies and Spanish songs by F. G. Lorca to classical works by Italian composer A. Diabelli, as well as love songs by Luxembourgish composer A. Petrovic.
The programme is interspersed with dance-inspired pieces by J. Ibert and A. Piazzolla.
