Is the World Heritage Site “Luxembourg, Old Quarters and Fortifications” under threat?
Join the honorary UNESCO Site Manager for a guided tour exploring the boundaries of the World Heritage property and the risks it faces, including development pressure, climate change, flooding, rockfalls, biodiversity loss, urban densification, gentrification, the loss of authenticity and integrity, and insufficient social and functional diversity. The tour also presents the requirements of the World Heritage Convention and the Recommendation on the Historic Urban Landscape, as well as the legislation, regulations and the work of the various professionals involved in safeguarding this heritage.
