Live Dream
Installation performance presented as part of the exhibition Screentime/s
Live Dream. explores the mysteries of the brain and altered states of consciousness. In this collective experience, participants’ neural activity is captured in real time using electrodes.
As if following a scientific protocol, Justine Emard and Jean-Emmanuel Rosnet use these electrical signals to create a visual and sound work fueled, like in a documentary, by dream narratives. At times tangible, at times imperceptible, the interpreted data gives rise to different atmospheres generated by the two artists. This brain-machine interface seeks to resonate with the participants’ physicality, taking them on a journey to experience the full intensity and the contemplative dimension of this hypnotic and dreamlike experience.
