Banannefabrik: from warehouse to creation, a living heritage in motion
A former fruit warehouse turned contemporary creative hub, Banannefabrik embodies the transformation of industrial heritage into a vibrant cultural venue. Under the theme “Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine,” the project offers a participatory immersion into this evolving site, marking the 15th anniversary of its opening (2011–2026). Guided tours, dance workshops, open rehearsals and a video-dance installation will shape the programme, complemented by an afterwork fostering exchanges with artists and association members. Open to the general public, families, young people and local residents, this free event raises awareness of heritage preservation, highlights contemporary creation and encourages intergenerational transmission and active participation.
Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Banannefabrik
