The 2026 edition of “Summer in the City” took place in Luxembourg City from 12 June to 18 September, bringing a lively programme of open-air events, culture, music and entertainment to the capital.

The season offered plenty of opportunities to explore Luxembourg City’s heritage, including visits to the Bock Casemates and the Pétrusse Casemates (open all year), as well as guided tours of the Grand Ducal Palace, which took place from 18 July to 30 August with certified guides. A variety of other guided tours, including the “City Promenade” and special themed tours, were offered regularly throughout the summer.

Music lovers could enjoy a varied programme of concerts and festivals, while the city’s museums and theatres hosted numerous exhibitions and performances. Shopping enthusiasts also had the chance to make the most of the summer sales, Sunday shopping openings and the traditional Braderie.
