Den Atelier
Founded in 1995, den Ateliercelebrates 30 years of live music in 2025. The iconic Luxembourg City venue hosts over 120 concerts annually, featuring local and international artists across diverse genres. Known for its intimate atmosphere, stellar programming, and distinctive triangular stage, den Atelier has attracted world-class acts like Ed Sheeran, Muse, and Placebo.
About Hollerich district
In 1920, the former municipality of Hollerich was merged with Luxembourg City.
The former parish of Hollerich is mentioned as far back as the 10th century. In the Middle Ages, this area consisted of farms, stone quarries and lime kilns, which delivered their products to the nearby city and Fortress of Luxembourg.
Very soon, small manufacturing sites popped up here. After Hollerich was connected to the Luxembourg railway network and its first train station was opened in 1859, industry and trade prospered in this neighbourhood.
The population doubled very quickly and by the end of the 19th century, Hollerich had become one of the most dynamic municipalities in the country.
