Women changing cities: Global stories of urban transformation

Conference with Melissa Bruntlett: .Towards more inclusive cities

Who are our cities designed for, and how can urban planning better reflect the diverse needs of the people who live in them?

ProVelo welcomes Melissa Bruntlett, an internationally recognised urban mobility advocate, author and speaker whose work focuses on creating more inclusive, equitable and liveable cities.

Melissa Bruntlett is known for her work on sustainable mobility, cycling, gender equity and the relationship between urban design and everyday life. Her approach highlights how traditional planning practices can overlook the needs of different groups, particularly when it comes to care-related journeys, accessibility, safety and the use of public space.

By bringing a broader range of lived experiences into conversations about urban development, her work encourages us to rethink how cities can support mobility, independence and participation for everyone.

Join us for an evening dedicated to reflecting on the future of our cities and the importance of more inclusive approaches to mobility and public space.
