About the Artist

Walt Weiskopf is an American saxophonist, composer, and author whose storied career began when he joined the Buddy Rich Big Band. in 1981 at age 21. He has performed with Frank Sinatra, Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald, and many others. Weiskopf is celebrated for his recordings of original compositions, fresh takes on standards, and his seven widely respected books on jazz improvisation.
