Safe Solar Observation
A daytime journey to our nearest star
.When the summer nights arrive too late for traditional stargazing, Nightwise turns its telescopes toward the only star we can observe in daylight: the Sun.
The Living Sun. is a guided daytime astronomy experience for families, children, adults and curious minds. It combines safe solar observation, accessible science, simple hands-on demonstrations and storytelling to help participants discover the Sun not just as a bright object in the sky, but as a living, changing star.
Through dedicated solar observation equipment and constant supervision, participants are invited to observe the Sun safely and learn what can be seen on its visible surface. Depending on solar activity, this may include sunspots: darker regions linked to powerful magnetic activity. These features change over time, showing that the Sun is not static, but dynamic, active and full of energy.
