Lakkshya
Lakkshya is a contemporary Indian ensemble exploring the meeting point between tradition and modern sound. Rooted in the rich and intricate language of Carnatic music, the group expands its horizons through improvisation, rhythmic interplay, and subtle cross-genre influences.
Formed by long-time collaborators KJ Diliip (violin, composition), Ila Sangeetha Diliip (violin, voice), and Sunaad Anoor (khanjira and hybrid percussion), Lakkshya crafts a deeply expressive and evolving sonic experience. Their music moves fluidly between structure and spontaneity, blending ancient forms with contemporary sensibilities.
.Joined by Luxembourg-based Achal Murthy on bass, the quartet invites the audience into a vibrant journey of layered rhythms, lyrical melodies, and meditative intensity — a modern take on Indian classical traditions.
