Cosmokramer started the night Donald Trump was first elected president. Make of that what you will. Since then, Olivier Treinen and Yves Stephany have been quietly building something. Synth-pop with a punk spine and a melodist's heart, kitchen sink dramas set to machines that pulse and ache in equal measure. Songs about co-dependency, digital rot, love arriving too late, and dancing anyway. “808s and the perfect tragedy." That's the whole story right there.

Live, Olivier stands front and centre and lets the songs do the talking. There's no spectacle, no performance. Just a voice that makes every broken dream sound inevitable, and the unsettling feeling that he means every word. Behind him, Yves holds it all together with a Prophet, an MPC, and when the song demands it, a bass guitar he's clearly missed more than he lets on.
