Joyful, mischievous and full of unexpected twists, this program invites curious ears of every age into a world of imagination. Bizet’s Jeux d’Enfants opens with a set of playful snapshots, evoking bouncing balls, proud horseback rides, and the secret daydreams of childhood. Debussy’s Petite Suite embarks by boat on a gentle musical journey, its colors and melodies drifting by like delicately painted scenes. Quite the contrast to György Ligeti’s Six Bagatelles: they are delightful miniatures filled with dry humor, rhythmic twists, and clever surprises. Finally, Oscar Navarro’s Juego de Ladrones, based on a novel by Miguel de Cervantes, whisks the audience into a cheeky tale of thieves on the move, with spirited interplay and a generous dash of theatrical fun. A vibrant, imaginative matinée that blends fantasy and virtuosity — ideal for anyone who enjoys a good musical escapade, no matter their age!
