Description
On December 28, 1895, the Lumière brothers screened La Sortie des usines Lumière.—the very first public film screening, and by many accounts, the birth of cinema itself. But even as the seventh art came into being, music was already part of the show. From the beginning, film and music have shared a deep connection—sometimes parallel, sometimes intertwined.
As part of the Luxembourg City Film Festival (LCFF), the musicians of the OCL step into the spotlight once again with a concept that has become their signature. Behind the camera: a collaborative vision from conductor Bertie Baigent and a yet-to-be-announced figure from the world of film (selection in progress). Together, they will let their respective arts shine—through a vibrant, interactive exchange.
