Attilio Sepe Quartet
The band was formed during Attilio Sepe’s time in Belgium, where the Italian pianist Marco Marcelletti, Belgian double bassist Emanuel Van Mieghem, and Brazilian drummer Gabriel Moraes reside. This cultural diversity gives the band a wealth of expressive possibilities, enabling it to explore various directions and "embrace risks" through improvisation. Their repertoire is diverse, encompassing both pieces from the jazz tradition and original compositions. The band has already performed at some of the most prestigious clubs in Belgium and Italy and has collaborated with Maurizio Giammarco, a prominent saxophonist in both the Italian and global jazz scenes. Attilio Sepe recorded an album with this quartet, titled Spellbound, which was released by WoW Records on February 7, 2025. The music from the album was showcased during their latest tour in Italy, which took place in December 2024.
