10 + 12/10/25 – Atelier « Couleur Nature » avec Pedro Amaral

..On October 10 and 12, Pedro Amaral invites you to experiment freely, drawing inspiration directly from your surroundings. For two hours, explore various painting techniques, such as the versatile acrylic, as well as the use of colored pencils and oil pastels. The goal is to investigate color and its connection with nature-a dialogue between artistic practice and observation, reflecting the work Pedro is currently developing during his artistic residency at La Canopée. The atmosphere is meant to be both relaxed and enriching, supported by references and examples from major artists whose techniques will illuminate the proposed experiments: Hockney, Basquiat, Paula Rego, Degas, and Warhol. A self-taught painter with over forty years of experience, Pedro leads his workshops by encouraging each participant to explore and develop their own techniques. He guides and motivates attendees, emphasizing that there are no mistakes: accidents are an essential and constructive part of the creative process. These workshops will take place at the LUGA Lab and Science Hub, offering a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, meet the artist, and explore your creativity.
