Editors frontman Tom Smith steps out on his own with the release of his debut solo single, “Lights Of New York City,” out now via Play It Again Sam. Reflective and heartfelt, the track captures a nostalgic longing for lost youth, blending stripped-back acoustic warmth with Smith’s unmistakable vocals. Co-written with acclaimed Irish artist Iain Archer, it marks a bold yet intimate new chapter for Smith following two decades with Editors and his Smith & Burrows collaborations. The song is accompanied by a cinematic video directed by Niall Trask, offering a glimpse into Tom’s more personal, introspective artistic side.
