Bernstein in Luxembourg
«When I first read the book, I was breathless». said Leonard Bernstein after reading Wystan Hugh Auden's long poem «The Age of Anxiety».. The composer then frantically set to music the subject, written shortly after the Second World War. The result is his eponymous Symphony N° 2, for solo piano and orchestra, a personal quest to find one's bearings and faith in the face of numerous crisis situations.
