Échos de la terre
Échos de la terre., with Naser Halayqa & Friends, is an evening of oriental music and poetry organised by Nashama in Luxembourg, a citizen collective that promotes Levantine culture and leads solidarity initiatives in support of Gaza.
The concert highlights the oud, an emblematic instrument of the Arab musical heritage, and the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish, whose words stand as a living memory of the land and of those who walk upon it.
The event supports the Gaza orphanage run by the NGO HuSoMe, founded by Dr. Raphaël Pitti and active in several war‑affected regions. In a place where more than 56,000 children have lost one or both parents, music and poetry become a space to breathe. The texts evoke the sand of Gaza with great delicacy, revealing the reality of hunger, a daily life where one may end up searching for grains of rice in the sand. This sand becomes a symbol: the symbol of a land carrying both the fragility of a people striving to survive, and the strength of those who continue to hope despite everything.
All proceeds will go to the organisation HuSoMe.
