In the City Park, garbage has become a growing problem—litter and waste are strewn everywhere. At night, the animals hear strange noises and glimpse mysterious lights. Then, a small green creature appears, clearly upset about the mess. The park’s guardian, Ackermann, sets out to capture this odd visitor, but the story takes a surprising turn. Revealed as a Martian, the creature teaches the animals and children how to tackle the garbage problem by sorting and recycling, offering a playful lesson in caring for the environment. Written and brought to life by puppeteer Pit Vinandy, *Poppentheater Hoplabum* is a lively, interactive experience. Pit, who also performs as Ackermann the guardian, crafts his own unique puppets and engages the audience directly. Ackermann dashes through the theatre, leading children and adults alike in cheerful songs. With plenty of room for improvisation, the performance adapts to the crowd’s reactions, making every show a one-of-a-kind adventure. For 28 years, *Poppentheater Hoplabum* has delighted audiences across Luxembourg. A theatre designed for young people, it brings adults and children together for shared fun. The concept first took shape in 1995 as *Sandmännche Pit*, created by Pit Vinandy for RTL Television’s *Eng Stonn Fir Lëtzebuerg*. Since then, it has grown into a beloved tradition, blending creativity, humour, and heart.
