Improv workshop with Kelly Agathos

Dig Deep Improv is proud to present 'Make it make sense' workshop with international guest teacher Kelly Agathos!

We've all been there, stuck in a scene that's going nowhere, trying to dream up new ideas to throw in that might act as a safety jacket to keep us afloat. But we can all do better than just keep our heads above water! Usually our scenes aren't stuck because we lack ideas - they get stuck because nothing makes sense - *yet*. This workshop will focus entirely on justification, the art of answering ''why'' in a scene. When we justify what's already happening - a gesture, a tone shift, a silence, a ''mistake'', we turn randomness into meaning. Instead of adding new information, existing choices become intentional and inspiring.

Through focused exercises and scene work, you'll learn to: 

• Give context to physical and emotional choices
• Transform mistakes into gifts-strengthen platform and relationships by explaining rather than inventing-
• Learn when there's enough information already there

You will walk away from the workshop having internalised this one simple rule: Don't add, Explain. Because when everything has a reason, scenes feel grounded, connected and inevitable, for you, your partners and the audience. Kelly first taught with Dig deep in 2025 and we are so excited to welcome her back and to learn more from her!

About Kelly: Kelly discovered improvisational theatre in 2010 and instantly fell in love with it. In 2017, after spending several years traveling the globe to work and perform with world-renowned improvisers, Kelly created ImproBubble in Brussels, a school through which talented teachers and performers share their vision of improv with the city's large international community. From 2020 to 2024, Kelly was the curator and producer of all anglophone shows at the Improviste theatre. She is also the co-founder and host of The Schuman Show, a comedy show mixing improv, stand up and sketch focused on EU politics. She is very much a cat person and will start raving about her adorable tuxedo cat Marcello if prompted, so you have been duly warned!

Dig Deep is an events company and learning facility in Luxembourg run by Melissa Dalton. Dig Deep Improv involves one-off workshops, courses, 1-1 training and Improv shows where anyone can get up on stage to perform!
