Can Mining in Space Benefit Humanity?
Mining asteroids and the surface of the Moon will change our world. Life on Earth will alter. But how can we spread the benefits of this change across society as a whole? How can we deal with the upsides and the downsides of space mining while protecting space environments for future generations? And how much of the Solar System should we leave as wilderness, off limits to mining activity? This talk will channel these problems towards one big ethical question: how do we avoid making the same mistakes in space?
