Shibori resist-dyeing workshop with master dyer Caterina Maioli
The workshop is taught by master dyer Caterina Maioli. It provides the necessary instructions to dye wool, cotton and silk using indigo.
Registration fee includes beverages, material for the course and a sample book for each participant.
PROGRAMME:
13:00 – 15:00 Presentations and brief introduction to the use of natural indigo and Shibori technique. Explanation of the different Shibori designs and preparation of the fabric for dyeing.
15:00 – 17:00 Preparation of the vat bath for dyeing. Dyeing the fabric with natural indigo and preparation of the sample book.
