Description

Laura Bofill (*1983 Barcelona) is a Spanish painter who completed her studies in Barcelona and New York and has developed further skills in various artistic fields such as graphic design, photography and textile design. Following all these experiences, she decided to focus on the combination of photography and painting. After graduating from university, Laura Bofill started working in her family studio, where she began experimenting with new materials such as resin, to this day. Her work has already been exhibited in various galleries all over Europe and North Africa and she has participated in international art fairs in Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Shanghai.

Susanne Auslender (*1964, Saarbrücken) lives and works in Berlin, Germany. The artist pursued her studies in Sculpture and graduated in 1990 from the Akademie der Bildenden KünsteFrom ECHO.lu in Munich. Since then, the visionary artist has already participated in renowned art fairs, including Art Cologne, Positions Berlin and Art Karlsruhe. Auslender’s sculptures, also known as Blumenstücke., represent a contrast in themselves: on the one hand she uses this rough and heavy wood, which is cut using a chainsaw. On the other hand, the artist choses the delicate flower as her main subject. Afterwards, the sculptures are painted in bright colours to highlight them magnificently. The oversized sculptures can also be found in public spaces, within Germany. Bloom marks the artist’s first exhibition in Luxembourg.
