Formed in 1995, envy is now a 6-member band, after three of the original members (Manabu Nakagawa, Nobukata Kawai and Tetsuya Fukagawa) were joined by three new support members (y0shi, Yoshimitsu Taki and Hiroki Watanabe). It’s with this line-up that the band released their 7th
full album, The Fallen Crimson, in February, 2020, followed by album #8, Eunoia, in October 2024.
envy has continuously played at festivals such as Hellfest (FR), Fuji Rock Festival (JP), All Tomorrow’s Party (UK). They’ve also played with other bands such as Explosions in the Sky, Converge, Deafheaven, Mogwai and ISIS.

After building up international buzz with a series of intense shows, 2013 saw the release of Coilguns’ debut full-length album, Commuters, which could easily share shelf space with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Converge. 2018’s Millennials and 2019’s Watchwinders earned acclaim and rave reviews all around Europe and North America.
