►Venice 2025

In a small Bulgarian town, a seamstress becomes the scapegoat for a COVID-19 outbreak at her factory, exposing harsh labour conditions and community fear. Ostracized by co-workers, rejected by her own family, and abandoned by the factory management, Iva’s story reveals the human cost of exploitation and systemic failure in a globalised world.

“...a stark, gripping social drama that investigates how an external crisis can violently expose the fractures already present within a society” (Gazettely)

“...a work so openly aligned with labour — and one bold enough to include a line like “Turns out everything they said about communism was a lie, and everything they said about capitalism was true” — demands to be taken seriously.” (Journey Into Cinema)

“Bears comparison with 21st century workplace dramas by Ken Loach or Stéphane Brizé.” (Screen Daily)
