The Disliked’s The Zoo is a wake-up call, a shock, an invitation to open our eyes. Too often, humanity remains trapped in its habits, unable to change perspective, to question its actions. So, nature reverses the roles: the animals take over… and the mirror shatters.
After 23 years on the Luxembourg music scene, The Disliked still want to push the boundaries of the genre to create unforgettable, festive moments. With The Zoo, they combine their signature reggae-punk sound with the vocals of Ben Nilles, the band’s trumpeter, who will be taking over lead vocals – paving the way for a promising new phase.
Le Vibe plays a colourful and driving blend of roots reggae infused with afrobeat, funk and jazz. The result is honest, uplifting music that strives to move and inspire the audience, with the goal of making people both think and dance.
The soundscape created for this purpose varies from moody, jazz-influenced down-tempo reggae to militant "4-on-the-floor" roots-rocking, but remains mostly fun, sunny and groovy. True to the values of roots culture, the band deliver positive, encouraging messages and "good vibrations".
What’s more, Le Vibe like to funk it out through percussive and stimulating rhythms, ensuring that people can't resist the urge to dance, or at least head-bop in appreciation.
DillenDub is a three-piece based in Luxembourg playing a mix of instrumental electro, groove, and dub. While the members are jazz-trained musicians, the band’s sound is driven by their curiosity to try out all sorts of synthesizers and effects alongside bass guitar and drums, combining the elements into a refreshing, often spontaneous musical cocktail.
