The City Never Sleeps

Synopsis

The film tells the story of a sailor, an old biker. In the early 1980s, he returns to Athens after 20 years at sea to find out what happened to his little brother who was killed during a race. He fixes his abandoned 1939 motorbike and hits the road. But nothing is the same any more. His friends have changed, the girls got married, the motorcycles have become beasts. And he is now too old to rock 'n' roll, too young to die. The script is based on real events.

Forty-one years after its first screening Andreas Tsiliifonis' legendary and timeless cult film returns to the big screen more dazzling than ever, thanks to the impressive 4K digital restoration. Let's lose ourselves in the nocturnal boulevards of this authentic, captivating, modern romantic-noir, an exquisitely atmospheric farewell to an entire generation.
